BIBARS FOAM MANUFACTURING: FROM LOCAL TO REGIONAL SUCCESS WITH JEDCO

It wasn’t until the management team at Bibars Foam Manufacturing attended a workshop held by the Jordan Enterprise Development Corporation (JEDCO) in Irbid that they realized the possibilities for the expansion of their business.

With a focus on enhancing their marketing and human resources departments, the company contacted JEDCO, and through JEDCO’s technical “Accelerate with JEDCO” program, a qualified technical expert was sent to tour the facilities, hold discussions with the company’s management and employees, as well as uncover any challenges faced by the team.

The efforts, which focused on marketing, management, accounting, human resources and customer service, produced a questionnaire that was filled out by 65 employees, asking for their observations and opinions on aspects of the company that work, and those that need improvement.

Improving the marketing at Bibars Foam Manufacturing was essential, and began with the creation of a brand-new website that garnered more exposure for the company and increased the number of clients and sales for the factory.

One of the main successes of the collaboration between JEDCO and Bibars Foam Manufacturing was the introduction of an import department, which has now opened new channels of business for the company in Iraq, Syria, Saudi and Yemen.

Thanks to the JEDCO’s support and that of its donors, another major development for Bibars Foam Manufacturing was the creation of a detailed human resources handbook that highlights all the policies and procedures of the factory and describes clear job descriptions for each employee, which has, in turn, a positive effect on turnover rates.
