JORDAN CHALK MANUFACTURING COMPANY CHALKS UP SUCCESS THANKS TO JEDCO

The cooperation between the Jordan Chalk Manufacturing Company and the Jordan Enterprise Development Corporation (JEDCO) dates back to 2012, when the company was looking for  support in order to refocus its vision and expand its operations. Recently, the Jordan Chalk Manufacturing Company, which specializes in the production of  chalk, crayons and modeling clay, reached out to JEDCO for its support once again through the “Accelerate with JEDCO” program.

The first step was the implementation of a diagnostic study by JEDCO in order to decide the best course of action. A financial expert was enlisted to help train and coach the company’s executive team through intensive seminars and workshops that focused on the world trade map, exporting and monitoring.

The training illuminated the fact that the company’s emphasis should be on the development of its export business, so the team was also coached on ways to explore new markets for the company’s products, and how to discover new opportunities in export.

The factory then introduced new production lines to the operation, which resulted in an increase in exports and the entry into new markets.

Thanks to the support from JEDCO and its donors, the results have been remarkable. The Jordan Chalk Manufacturing Company has seen its export market rise by an impressive 40 percent, from 100 countries to 140 countries, which has meant a simultaneous production increase of 40 percent.
