JEDCO AND THE JORDAN RIVER FOR ENVIRONMENT TECHNOLOGY: TEAMWORK FROM DAY ONE

Director Ziad Irshaid and the team at Jordan River for Environment Technology (JoRiver) knew that they offered superb water treatment products and a great service, but needed professional support on how to develop their offerings and how to grow as a company.

A quick online search yielded information about the Jordan Enterprise Development Corporation’s (JEDCO) “Accelerate with JEDCO” technical support program, and after contact was initiated, two representatives from JEDCO were welcomed at JoRiver’s headquarters.

To get a better understand of how the company worked, the JEDCO representatives were given a tour of the facility, assessed the products and services, and also noted any problems or issues that they feel could arise. A few weeks later, a comprehensive questionnaire was sent out to the employees, which was filled out anonymously.

The results were analyzed, and JEDCO presented the Jordan River for Environment Technology with their findings, highlighting areas where they could be of help, which began with the allocation of a specialist in marketing and management, who has since worked continuously with the team to grow their marketing outreach and build their managerial skills.

Support was also given on the managerial, technical and financial levels, with a complete restructuring of the company’s marketing strategy. New products have been added to JoRiver’s water treatment and solar services, all of which have been very positively received. In addition, a Facebook page was created in order to further market the company, which now boasts a wider demographic, increased sales, lower costs and a marked uptick in revenue. 

According to Irshaid, thanks to the support of JEDCO and its donors, JoRiver will continue to grow into the future.
