A BRIGHT ACHIEVEMENT: THE WALID MOHAMMAD AL-KHASAWNEH ESTABLISHMENT

The Walid Mohammad Al-Khasawneh Establishment was founded in 2014, and specializes in the manufacture of distinctive lighting fixtures with Islamic ornamentation for outdoor usage, including gardens and street light poles. The process of creating the fixtures is a delicate one, and starts with the design, which is followed by the industrial process of cutting the model on wood then die-casting it in aluminum, up to the final stage of wire installation. 

Dr. Walid Khasawneh and his team applied to the “Accelerate with JEDCO” program, with the goal of seeking support in its managerial processes as well as industrial and financial development. After entry into the program, the team was invited to attend a number of workshops that took place at JEDCO’s headquarters which tackled issues such as marketing, management skills and the preparation of financial sheets.

As part of the “Accelerate with JEDCO” program, the team received 16 hours of training and instruction in a variety of areas, including managerial skills, financial and managerial guidelines, setting working hours and marketing. Furthermore, they learned how to create budgets and how to tackle the Arab export markets and update their vision for expanded trade opportunities, both locally and regionally.     

Thanks to the  support offered by JEDCO and its donors, the results were immediate and highly positive, especially when related to marketing and budgeting. The team is still in continuous communication with JEDCO for any further support required, and is in the process of securing financial support in order to grow the business and turn its vision of the future into a reality.
